Hog Butchering
Demo and Pulled Pork.

Join me Sunday October 27th at 2:30 for a live butchering demo and taco party.

I will be butchering half of a hog down to portions, live, taking you through the steps I take, and decisions I make to get the most out of each pig. I will discuss cooking tips and recipe ideas for each of the major parts. 

You will get a peek behind the curtain and see what is really involved in whole animal butchery, and hopefully garner a new appreciation for the animals we eat.

After the demonstration we will get to eat pulled pork seasoned with Buz Rub, a New England made seasoning blend. 

Each participant will receive +/- 12 lbs. of pork, with something with a cut from every section of the hog. 

The cost to attend the event is $150 per person, which includes the demo, the meat, and the pork. If you have a partner, friend, or aspiring young Butcher or Chef you would like to bring along with you, they can come for $30, and they can see the demo and enjoy the pork, they just won’t get their own share of the meat.

All of the meat will be wrapped in special paper and "freezer ready", I will do my best to make sure everyone gets a fair share with representative pieces from the whole animal, any package swapping and trading you want to do with fellow attendees is entirely up to you.
